PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Develop the skills necessary in today’s workforce on June 8, 2011 from 12:30– 4:30 pm at the St. Cloud Workforce Center. Living Connected in Benton County (www.bentoncountyconnected.org) and Central Lakes College presents the Knowledge Worker Course. This college level, online course is offered in hybrid fashion over a four week period and consists of four modules: Introduction to Knowledge Worker, Career Pathways, Innovation in the Workplace, and Technology in the Workplace.
The first four hours of the course will be instructor facilitated and take place in a computer lab at the St. Cloud Workforce Center on June 8th from 12:30 – 4:30 pm. The remaining twelve hours of instruction for this course will take place online and involve a combination of online discussions, course research and independent study. Because of grant funding, this course is offered at no charge to participants.
Those people wanting to attend the class should already have some basic computer skills and access to the internet either from home or in the community.
Who should participate in the Knowledge Worker Course?
- Individuals seeking to build their resumes
- Businesses should encourage their employees to take part in this course to help build their skills
